Never underestimate the power of a puppy to lift your spirits after a truly awful week.

Take the last two days' posts, multiply them by about 1,000 and it about sums up today.

When I said "this is going be a long, painful week"?

I may have underestimated just how painful.

This is going to be a long, painful week. SO. PAINFUL.

Stayed up until 3.30am, was up again at 8am, had to have a disco nap at 3pm, but had completed the exam by 7.30pm.

Final essay submitted.

Cramming a trimester's worth of reading into a day so I can pass this exam. Thank god it's only worth 40% of my total mark.

The Western Bulldogs (red, white and blue) just had an historic win over Greater Western Sydney (orange) to book a spot in the AFL Grand Final next week, where they will meet the Sydney Swans (red and white).

If the Doggies can beat Sydney, I am taking it as a sign that Hillary will beat Trump, come Nov 8.

Because, democratic blue, republican red, Trump is orange, etc.

YES, THAT IS HOW MY BRAIN WORKS.

Ridiculously proud of one of my students tonight... her determination to pitch, create and develop a solo show over the last 5 months is nothing short of inspirational. Her show is topical, funny, moving, and above all entertaining. I look forward to watching it (and her) take on the world stage.

Four shows down, three to go... so far it's been a mixed bag, but kudos to my gorgeous students for putting their own work out there - it's a a brave, brave thing to devise a theatrical work from scratch.

Thank god for Uber Eats or I'd regularly starve...

Better than expected performance from the final year Music Theatre kids... although they could all do with having compulsory Alexander Technique classes to ensure they're not straining themselves.

All day staff conference... fun, but tiring. So tiring, that dinner was mashed leftover veggies. Thank god I don't have to worry about feeding anyone but myself.

Life is too short to dawdle around... if everyone just did it my way, it would be done so much faster.

I hate compromise.

So much uni work to do and instead I do laundry. And answer endless phone calls requiring me to rehash the same information... I should just make a recording.

A long day of driving, then train-ing and I've finally arrived back in Melbs. Feel like I could sleep for a month.

Don't really need to be watching episodes of The Wire, but that's what's occurring.

Really getting into The Wire, which is required watching for one of my subjects. (So is The Sopranos, but for some reason that one just leaves me cold).

Feels weird not to be working Mondays anymore. On the upside, I now get a 4-day weekend. On the downside, I have to start spending those 4-day weekends commuting to Radders to deal with family stuff.

Really haven't achieved much today either... googling how to make rugelach and buying crystals does not an essay write.

Feeling contemplative after a session with a trusted friend. Five months. Good to know.

So many things to do today and all I achieved was some grocery shopping and laundry.

Oh well. Try again tomorrow.
