Finally got around to watching Argo. Mob mentality violence (even fictionalised) terrifies me.

Sometimes I feel that I identify a little toooo much with Mindy Lahiri.

A fabulous evening catching up with my old roomie... I've missed her humour and wisdom!

First day back at work and it was a loooong one. Ugh. Totally unenthused.

Finally finished reading a book I bought in NYC in 2011 - Talking To Girls About Duran Duran by Rob Sheffield.  A must-read for anyone who was a teenager in the the 80s.

Truffle-infused Brie, home-made chutney, roast pork with crackling, potatoes cooked in duck fat and six different types of Koko Black chocolate. Oh and wine. Just another Saturday night dinner at the GBF's.

Watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and hearing Jemima and Jeremy sing "our hearts beat so unruly, because we love you Truly, honest, Truly... we do" reminded me of my time in the USA when my little munchkin cousins would sing that song to me as we were driving somewhere (usually to Borders on Leesburg Pike for Pink Lemonade Snapple and an afternoon in the kid's section reading stories together).  Awwwww.
