Today's Artist Date was to see Sondheim's 'Company'.  AH-MAAAAAAAAA-ZING.

Loved it.  Would've loved to have seen it live on Broadway, but seeing it on the big screen was almost better - it was captured so beautifully that you felt like you were right on stage with them.

A night of comedy at The Famous Spiegeltent.  First up was Bob.  He was ace (and I got a CD in the pop quiz segment AND he serenaded me with Barry Manilow).  Next up was Dixie.  Oh. My. Lordy. A hoot and a half and she gave me a hug on the way out.  Capped it off with the always hilarious Otto & Astrid.  Top night.

After a long day, an hour's show at the Athenaeum watching Jason Byrne's MICF show was exactly what I needed.  Laughter that has you clutching your stomach while sliding down the seat, with tears running down your cheeks... brilliant.

Too wired up from rehearsal to go to bed (it's actually 1.01am on Thursday), but I have to work tomorrow so MUST. SLEEP.  Gah!

A poem I came across today in Walking In This World by Julia Cameron...

"If your nose is held to the grindstone rough
and you hold it down there long enough
soon you'll say there's no such thing
as brooks that babble and birds that sing.
Three things will all your world compose -
just you, the grindstone, and your darned old nose."

A full theatre of people giving one final standing ovation for a beautiful soul taken from us far too soon.  Farewell Marc.  I was blessed to have you in my life, even for such a short time.

Another fun, productive rehearsal... with a bit of a backstage girly bonding session... we're finally starting to feel more like an ensemble.  Love when that moment happens.
