So, Tan Dun was amazing... but this is the third time I've seen the MSO and I'm really finding their lack of professionalism hugely distracting. They wander on and off the stage like a bunch of bored high schoolers at assembly - and don't even start me on some of the outfits. You can't have the men wearing white tie and tails and the women wearing eighties op shop rejects.

They need to take notes from the ACO - both on etiquette and hiring themselves a designer/getting a fashion sponsor.

Stat.

Might be time to find a new beautician... I have a massive bruise on my upper thigh from her over-enthusiastic waxing technique. OUCHIE.

They say "absence makes the heart grow fonder".  They also say "out of sight, out of mind".

I have no idea who "they" are, but "they're" both right.  My closest friends who live overseas are pretty awesome at staying in touch, so fall into the former.  My closest friends who live interstate? Not so much. Definitely the latter applies to them at the moment.

Thank god my local library has installed a self-checkout area. I will be taking full advantage of it in future, after the librarian checking out my books today snorted with laughter at my selection:

Scorching day, but joined with the Greens to take part in the Pride March - so much fun and great to see such a diverse bunch of people taking part and supporting the community!
