No choice but to wear sandals due to the podiatrist chopping off the majority of my left toenail as I have a floating bone from an old fracture pushing up into the nail bed. At least the dressing covering it makes it look I've broken my toe and it's in plaster, which is far less gross than the manky quarter-nail look.
