One Line A Day

29 years ago today I was standing outside a church in Adelaide in 42C heat wearing a drop-waist, puff-sleeved, purple taffeta dress, purple court shoes and a purple decorative comb in my spiral-permed hair which was held in place with an entire can of hairspray.*

I have only been a bridesmaid once in my life because there's only one couple in the world I would ever go through all that torture for.
