Spent the morning coaching actors for an educational video on midwifery. Specifically, how to examine a placenta. Actual, freshly delivered placentas were used. It. Was. Gross.
But fun.
Goroka is quite amazing. The level of poverty is incredible, but the people are super friendly and welcoming. I am getting used to hearing "White Meri! White Meri!" (white woman) from all the kids in the settlements...

Made it to Goroka with minimal disruptions. Great dinner with the peeps who will become my expat family over the next 7 weeks.

Sitting around waiting for DHL is not how I wanted to spend my day... especially since they didn't turn up, throwing the plans for the next two days into chaos.
